Belajar Bahasa Inggris dari Sherlock: The Empty Hearse

A small thank you wouldn’t go amiss (Mycroft, to Sherlock)
wouldn’t go amiss = would be welcome, suitable, or useful; would be useful and might help to improve situation.
Salah? Yo ben!

You sat there and watched me being beaten to a pulp (Sherlock, to Mycroft)
“being beaten to a pulp” merupakan bentuk pasif dari beat to a pulp.
beat to a pulp = hit someone hard until they are seriously injured.
Jadi, kalimat “being beaten to a pulp” itu artinya dipukuli sampai luka parah. Seberapa parah? Tahu, kan, artinya pulp? Pulp itu bubur kertas. Dipukuli sampai jadi bubur kertas. Ih, horror!

I’ve kept a weather eye on him, of course (Mycroft. ‘him’ refers to John)
keep a weather eye on something or somebody = to watch something or someone carefully, because they may cause trouble or they made help.
Jadi, maksudnya Mycroft mengawasi John (selama Sherlock menghilang) dengan saksama (aneh kalau carefully diartikan dengan hati-hati).

Hang On

I've come this far
keep going on
keep my spirit on
try to not even give up
But it seems like the whole world force me to stop

Tell me. Should I keep going on? Should I give up on my dream that I've pursued for long time?

Does everything happens to make me stop? Does everything happens to make me struggle harder?

I have no idea. All my problems have taken all my spirits.

Maybe I need to rest for a while, clear my mind. Maybe. Just hang on.
