Old and Happy?

I'll be thirty-three tomorrow, if I don't die tomorrow. For the last few years, I always feel sad in my birthday, except last year. Usually I become cranky. I don't know why. Maybe I feel sad for the things I can't get. Maybe I feel sad because I haven't achieve anything while a lot of people of my age have achieve many things. Maybe I'm just anxious about my future. I don't know.

30 and Stay Sane

I've been living in this world for 30 years, 1 month, and several days. Aaand I'm tired. It's not like I want to die, by the way. I just don't know what I want to pursue anymore. Study? No, thank you. Postgraduate is more than enough for me. I don't want to go through research drama anymore. Work? Nah. I don't intend to get higher position. And my job is not interesting anymore. I'm not as eager as the first time I get the job. In the first three years, I did my job earnestly. And then many unpleasant occurences ruined my spirit. I become not so passionate anymore about my job. I just whine and complain. Maybe many people around me are a bit irritated listening to my whining. And my friend in Facebook too.

Dear You

Dear Dream,
You were there
Yeah, you were there
when my life was full of sadness and disappointment
Because of you, I could hold on and face all my problems
Pursuing you made my life so meaningful

Dear Passion,
My life was so lively because of you
When I feel so tired, you came to me
You gave me strength
You gave me spirit

But now,
I lose both of you
And without you, my life is so flat, so boring

Will you come to me once again?

Collecting Raindrops (After the Rain)

I'm still obsessed to raindrops. I was trying to capture raindrops but the results are still not as good as my expectation.

Raindrops in the tiny flower

Above is picture that I took three days ago in the afternoon. The weather was cloudy so there was no sufficient light to make a clear picture. Hey, did I blame the weather? Ops!
Two pictures below were taken at the same time as before. Still not so good as I hope.

Raindrops on (or under?) the leaf, ready to drop (again)

(NOT) Funny Jokes

#1
A new chairman is talking to his secretary.
New Chairman: The older chairman who lead this factory before me was very successful. He made our factory gain a great profit. I have big shoes to fill.
Secretary: Umm, Sir, I think you have big feet too. Do you want to make your feet bigger? I think you just need to buy new shoes that suit your feet then.
New Chairman: ???
(have big shoes to fill = to have to meet high expectations about something that came before)

#2
Two students are going to school by bus.
Student 1: I have to study harder for next exam or I won't graduate this year.
Student 2: Why?
Student 1: I got F on last exam.
Student 2: Yeah, we are in the same boat.
Student 1: Eh? I think we are on a BUS, not BOAT.
Student 2: ???
(in the same boat = to be in the same unpleasant situation, has the same problem)

Just Ephemera

There’s no song that can perfectly represent my character, my feelings, or my life story. Usually, only several lines of the whole lyric of a song that can represent ‘me’. One of those songs is Ephemera. It's sung by Letto, my favorite band. Honestly, when I heard ‘ephemera’, I didn’t know the meaning. And then, I searched its meaning in my dictionary, and found that ‘ephemera’ means ‘nymph or something that has short life’. So, when I heard this song for the first time, about three or four years ago, I presume that this song tells us about human’s life that is not everlasting. But, after I saw it’s video clip and read it’s lyric, I knew that it doesn’t tell us about human’s life but tells us about human’s feeling or human’s emotion that isn’t everlasting. We (especially me) are often drown in our feeling, whether happiness or sadness, although we know happiness won’t last forever, a sadness won’t either. Sometimes, we even can't remember how long those feelings last. It's a good song, a combination of inspiring lyric and beautiful music.

Welcome, Li'l Sista!

My li’l sista has a blog! I’m so surprised. Why? Well... I started blogging about three or four years ago, when I was in college. And, my sister, she’s still on second year in Junior High School now, and she has started blogging. She said that it’s task from her teacher. This is NOT FAIR! When I was 13, I didn’t know at all about computer and internet. But now, students in Elementary can operate computer well, they have Facebook and Twitter account, even they have blog! Why didn’t my teacher teach me about computer and internet when I was in Elementary, yeah, at least when I was in Senior High School?

Maybe you’ll say that I’m jealous. Yes, I am. Nowadays, children are much more sophisticated than many years ago. They can learn computer, internet, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Paint, and another software. Huhuhu, I wish I could learn all of those when I was on their age.

By the way, my sister asked me to change her blog’s template because she has no time to download template on internet. Huh? Change her blog’s template? She must be joking. I myself just use default template from Blogger for my blog. And she asked me to download template to make her blog looks better? Huhuhu... So, her blog will look much better than mine? Yeah, I’m jealous, again.

Hahaha, it’s so silly if I become jealous just because of little thing like that. All I have to do is welcoming her. Welcome to blogosphere, li’l sista. It’s good for me to know your blog, so I can ‘watch’ you, just like I always watch you on Facebook. Don’t write ‘stupid’ thing on your blog, or I will tell mom about it. Owh, I just feel like an evil sister.

About Learning Foreign Language

It's been almost three months since I decided to learn Korean (again) seriously. When I was still in college I've bought some books about learning Korean. But, I couldn't understand it, especially the grammar. I think Korean grammar is so difficult, more difficult than Japanese grammar. Maybe I was not serious so I couldn't understand those books. Maybe I just like collecting book about foreign language, hehehe. Then, when I started to learn it (again) I could understand it a bit. Just a bit, but it's a good start. Now I know which particle that must be embedded in a word to make that word as subject, topic, or object.

But, when I tried to translate a Korean song word by word, I got some words that I couldn't find in my dictionary, such as: geudae (그대). I also found some particle that isn't explained in my book, such as myeo (), cheoreom (처럼), gateun (같은). Then, I asked my blogger friend who has a blog that explain about Korean grammar, Mr. Luke and Mr. Tazkiana (if you want to learn Korean, you can visit their blog). Mr Tazkiana explain that geudae means "you" but that word just used when we don't talk to second person directly (what's the right English word to say "lawan bicara" or "orang kedua"??? yeah, I know, I'm not smart enough). It's usually used in poems or songs. I also found explanation about particle cheoreom in Mr Tazkiana's blog. He wrote that it means "like". For example, geurimjacheoreom (그림자처럼). Geurimja means shadow. If we put particle cheoreom to that word (geurimja + cheoreom), it means like a shadow. I also found explanation about particle gateun. I thought it has the same meaning with cheoreom, but I was wrong. It has similar meaning, but still DIFFERENT. Gateun means "which is like". For example: paramgateun sarang, param = wind, gateun = which is like, sarang = love, so paramgateun sarang means "love which is like wind".

Personal Taste, Romantic

Personal Taste, I watched this drama last year, November 2010. I was in Medan when I watched it accidentally (umm, I'm not sure that accidentally is the right word). I don't have TV so I don't know about drama in TV. But, in November last year, I had to attend a training in Medan. When I arrived in hotel, I turned on TV, and taraaa... There was a very very interesting drama. The story is about a girl who works as furniture designer. When I saw her for the first time, I thought she is a carpenter, hehehe... She met a man, an architect. Just like another Korean drama, there was misunderstanding, then they fight. I was interested with that drama because the scene when her boyfriend left her and marry her friend. Wew! He's so cruel!

But, after I came to Blangpidie again, I couldn't watch it. I have no TV, huhuhu... When I checked my external harddisk, I found a folder PERSONAL TASTE. Then I played it. This is it (Farah Quinn copycat, hehe). It's the same! But, there's something weird. Oh, the language! It's Chinese, not Korean. So is the subtitle. What a pity...

And, two days ago, I got a copy of that drama again. Last year, I never thought to try to change the subtitle and language. But, when I want to watch it for the second time, I remember what my friend said, "Why don't you change the subtitle?". It works. I can change the subtitle from Chinese into English. But, I don't remember to change the language too. So, it's still in Chinese.

I watched it since 4 p.m. until 4 a.m. After I watched till the last episode, I remember to try to change the language. How fool I am...

By the way, I just realized that the actor in that drama, Lee Min Ho, is SO HANDSOME!!! Wait, I haven't told you about the story, have I? It's about love story between Park Gae In (a girl who has been abandoned by her boyfriend, Chang Ryul) and Jeon Jin Ho (an architect and Chang Ryul's rival). Jin Ho rent a room in Gae In house to learn it's design because director of project that Jin Ho want to get like the design of Gae In's house (Gae In's father's house, I mean). After a lot of misunderstanding, Gae In think Jin Ho is gay, so she let him rent a room in her house. They become closer and in love.

Hmm, I think my English vocabulary is so poor. I can't explain about the drama more. Hehehe, you don't need to say that I'm stupid, fella...

Secret Garden, I Love It

I didn't sleep last night. That's why today I'm sooooo sleepy. If you think that I was working overtime last night, you're totally wrong. I wasn't working overtime. I didn't sleep because I watched Korean Drama until 7 a.m. this morning. Hahaha! Yeah, I know, I'm crazy. I can stay along the night for watching Korean Drama. But I can't stay along the night for working. Don't ever tell my boss about this, friends. It's our secret, OK?

By the way, what's the title of Korean Drama I watched last night? Secret Garden. It's so funny, but unreal. Switching soul? Hmm, I don't like that part. But, I like the love story between Kim Joo Won and Gil Ra Im, the starring in that drama. When Kim Joo Won start falling in love with Gil Ra Im, he becomes a little bit crazy. He always think about Ra Im. When he is walking or reading book, he feels that Ra Im is beside him. Ra Im looks so real. But, Ra Im in Joo Won's imagination never changes her clothes. Hahaha! So, Joo Won talk to Ra Im (I mean Ra Im that appear in Joo Won imagination), "At least, why don't you change your clothes?"

Poor Joo Won.. Someone who's falling in love so deeply and crazily, but he can't express his feeling in the right way. Instead of being a nice and romantic guy, he become somebody without manner when meet Ra Im.

Have I told you about Ra Im's director? His name is Joong Soo. Owh, he is so cool.. And handsome. He is the most handsome actor in that drama, I think, hehehe... His character is so... umm... how should I say it? He's cool, caring, just like guardian angel. Will somebody cares about me like the way he cares about Ra Im? Will somebody fall in love with me so deeply like the way Joo Won love Ra Im? Ah, forget my silly questions.

Huwaaa! I can't imagine that somebody will sacrify his life for me like Joo Won did for his love. It would be romantic, hehehe... And, honestly I don't wanna confess it. But, because of this drama, now I like Hyun Bin. Umm, I was not his fan! But, his voice in Secret Garden's soundtrack is nice. Eventough he is not handsome, I think it's not so bad to be his fan. Hyun Bin oppaaaaaa... Hahaha, it's our secret. OK?
